Upload them to a photobucket or similar site, and then just copy the [img] link they give you.

Thanks Isphius...it worked.

1988 Turbo. Stock except TEIN Flex Coilovers and 17" wheels/tires.

I'm the original owner. 69k original miles (one new head gasket)

After being on track at Willow Springs, next mods will be 245/40/17's front and 245/40/18 rear Toyo RA1's.

It also ran very hot in the middle of the day after 7 or 8 laps. Any suggestions?

Future increased HP will be in order too.

Let it cool off between laps haha. And get a colder thermostat. And if thats not enough get your collant flushed and changed. That should do it!

Spudboy 09-15-2006 05:34 PM

What do you mean by colder thermostat?

Isphius 09-16-2006 11:06 PM

Get it from a parts store. THey have them all listed by what degree they fully open at. You want the lowest possible one. That will at least allow it to get to a lower temperature when your not on the throttle much. It helps quite a bit. Ive even run my car without a thermostat altogether. Probably not good for the motor, It takes a long time to warm up, But it runs very cool haha.

The problem is when your on track your always full throttle. I'm not sure a different thermostat will help me there. The radiator flush can't hurt and I'll try it but I wonder if there are other things that can be done. More efficient radiator and/or intercooler? I may just need to race on cooler days.

Both of those will help too. Find a way to bolt a 4 core chevy radiator in there. haha. Cant be too hard.

Fun times

i went 140 mph in my 87 n/a w/ a girl that said she liked my car and wanted to go fast we have been together for two years now..lol my 89 7mgte is way faster but i have not tryed my top end speed yet.

one time in my N/a i raced a honda on a bussy one way. from a 35 mph role and beeing a true v tech it still sucked lol i smoked it. i was going 110 and as we slowed down i pulled in to auto zone bought my Power steering fluid looked down the road and he was pulled over.i took back roads and thought i was free untill six cop cars blocked me in a block from my house... the cop gave me a ticket for racing since he didn't clock me and said at least you won the race..lol
