What a pair of great reply's so now I know that I keep to the 7M when I need to do some work. I already have ARP bolts and I have a Cometic head gasket. I don't think I will change the engine much, I have and will replace the GE with a GTE uprated oil pump, I have a Fluidyne Ally rad and twin Electric fans to fit, Ally pulley set and some other stuff. Did I say I have owned her from new, delivered to me in Germany in 1987 with 5 kilometres on the clock.

awesome. the 87 mk3 is my favorite. If you went with a multi layer steel hg get the block and head resurfaced. You will be vary satisfied with your arps I think.

i finally purchased the clutch line, and the fuel pump. i went for a walbro in tank.
i still havnt touched the wiring much, i need to buy beer and get some friends over to help.

also goning start fabricating mount to hold a radiator infront of the rad support, i have blocked up the front bumper a little over 2 inches. it should be enough to hide a rad and a fan maby??
