Default Painted brake calipers...your opinions,please

I have a red 1993 Supra TT, very nice one at that. I was getting ready to paint the calipers red, but I was looking at some Ferrari's and Porsches which had yellow calipers and I thought they looked great. Do you have any opinions about whether I should go red or yellow. I pulled up next to a red Corvette last week , which had chrome wheels and yellow calipers and it really looked good to me. I never considered yellow until the last week or so, now I'm undecided. Naturally, if I don't like the yellow I could have them repainted, but I am also having a black Supra decal added to the caliper. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

i would personally go with red or black on your car. I wouldnt have a red car though, so my taste may be a lil dull.. either way cant go wrong with those colors, yellow might be reaching out. more of an exotic car color

Default Painted Calipers

I agree, red or black it is. It's going to be really hard to paint those calipers yellow and make it look factory. There's a reason they paint the Ferrari calipers yellow and it's because people buy Ferraris to scream to the world, "Look at me, I've got a 200,000.00 dollar car and you don't have one!" Smart people buy MK IV supras to just scream...(by those 200,000.00 dollar Ferrari's!)

Exclamation

Guys, I think you are being a little tough on the possible yellow calipers. I mean it doesn't matter if its a Porsche, Exotic, Honda, or Vette, I think the canary yellow calipers look great. That ALL red look is beginning to look more and more common. Check these out and let me know if you feel the same, Calipers are being painted Friday and I need to decide. Speaking of exotics, I go to a big local car show here in So. FL, and I always have the ONLY Supra there and it gets tons of attention (more than the Porsches & Vettes)........that's exotic

I think this looks cool + My yellow calipers would show of Black Supra Decal to be applied after drying, (that will not show up on red, as well). Maybe I'm nuts but the yellow really looks better & better to me. My supra would look good w/ yellow I think or is my head up my ass?

if you like the color yellow then by all means paint it yellow. i think that most of us supra owners would rather keep it simple with the traditional red or black because the supra's stand out the way they are
