I'll throw my hat in the ring too... :)
Pros: Independent suspention and decent weight distribution make it a good cornering machine. Just about any inline 6 is a bulletproof platform. Cure that head gasket and the 7M is no exception. People recognize it. Someone wanted to race me on the freeway when I was bringing it home for the first time. Cons: Head gasket Parts are expensive. Make sure you shop around ,and I have found the dealer to be cheaper than many online stores. Car feels heavy under normal driving ,but when you start throwing it around it steps up to the challenge well. Engine is a pain in the ass to work on since the intake covers everything. All in all though ,if a supra is what you want ,you wont regret buying one. The pros outwiegh the cons. |
yeh i dont car even if there were more cons than pros it wouldnt stop me getting a supra, i would still ove it and just work around the cons
thanx for adding your say, its very helpful |
no i havent tuned my car at all, just did preventative maintenance thus far, unless you consider ngk iridium plugs and wires upgrades :D. and i think the 200hp is what they all come stock, so mine is not out performing any other, but it does run good. I have the 7mge and i think the turbo 7mgte has 230hp stock so there pretty powerful cars.

What are those?
Ok, I've seen 2 Mk III's on this thread where the header panel (the upper part of the bumper, where the supra badge sits) that had round things under the headlights. What are those. I have an 89 and I don't have those.

Those would be headlight washers. They are hooked up to the washer fluid reservoir and theres a button on the dash to activate them.
