Welding the differential???

would that explain why sometimes only my right rear wheel will spin, as oppose to both?

Yep, but unless you won't drive ur car on the street anymore, don't weld it, next thing that you're gonna break is an axle,
Jus get the diff from a turbo mk3

Ah i see, thanks for the input. So turbos have LSD and N/A's do not, i was unaware of that.. good to know

I had an NA with lsd, I only said look for a turbo mk3 since your more likely to find an lsd on a turbo one rather the na

the easiest way to find out if a car has lsd without opening anything
is to put the rearend on jacks and spin the tires if the other one spins to the same direction as the other one, then it has a lsd

so do all mk3 models have lsd ? i know u might not agree witha welded diff, but i have been told haveing a welded diff may help me drift better. and driveing on the streets no prob. i see nissan 240's use them as a daily and drift.
