You DO NOT want to weld your spider gears in the differential.
If you did (and I have done it before, on 4x4 mud puller trucks), you could NOT drive the car on pavement.

Shimming is for LSD diff. It make it tighter than stock, but not good for a daily driver car. And, a bunch of work that you, or whomever does it, better know what they are doing.

Get an LSD diff out of a mk3 turbo supra. All turbo supras came with an LSD. N/A's didn't.

would that explain why sometimes only my right rear wheel will spin, as oppose to both?

Yep, but unless you won't drive ur car on the street anymore, don't weld it, next thing that you're gonna break is an axle,
Jus get the diff from a turbo mk3

I had an NA with lsd, I only said look for a turbo mk3 since your more likely to find an lsd on a turbo one rather the na
