Default ANyone have crank pulley tool I can borrow in the Atlanta area.

Need one for my 89 7MGE. Any help would be appreciated.

I've pulled 10-20 on 7M and never needed a tool. Once the bolt was out, it always slid right off by slightly prying on each side with 2 large screwdrivers.

Of course I'm in Calif desert, where rust is never a problem.

I have read on here about some people having some great difficulties.

I can't even loosen the nut, so I need a holder too.

You mean bolt.

Well good luck if you do end up buying one from the dealer. Last time I checked they told me it would take 6 weeks to get it, they had to MAKE one.

There's only 2 ways you are going to get that bolt off. One is the starter bump method, which doesn't always work. I've heard storys of burning out starters trying to get the bolt off that way. Especially when dealing with crank bolts that are torqued to 195 ft/lbs.

The way I did it, and it is the fool proof way of taking the bolt off, was take the starter out, jam the flywheel with a prybar and put a 3ft breaker bar on the 19mm crank bolt.

Have fun torqueing it back to 195 ft/lbs when your done. You might wanna hit the gym first.
