Question Sensor ohms

Does anyone know how many ohms the knock sensors in a mk3 turbo should have if there still good?

if you're getting code 52 more than likely you have a faulty knock sensor or your wiring has corroded

unplug one of your knock sensors and use a piece of a wire to join the plug and the other knock sensor that is still plugged in
if you don't get a check engine light the KS that is unplugged is your faulty one
if you do get a check engine light try the process again but unplug the other one this time and plug the other one back in
easy way to figure out which KS is dead

Thanks suprra_girl, I also have two more questions

1. If you run a wire from the bad knock sensors connector to the good knock sensor and it stops the check engine light can you leave it like that or could it be harmfull to the engine?

2. Does the check engine light come on when the engine knocks or just when the knock sensor stops working?

once you have found the faulty knock sensor/circuit repair it as soon as you can

if you leave the wire joined it will trick the ecu and if it does start knocking the ecu won't realise and retard your timing to save your engine

basically in an easy statement: no, it's unsafe and you'll more than likely blow it up

and the check engine light will only come on if a knock sensor or circuit is faulty not if the engine is actually knocking
