Thanks my fellow brother in Supra. The sad thing is I only have 128K on the engine. I am in NJ and i will ultimately need some one to rebuild my bottom half of the engine (rod knock wife drove it w/o oil 3 years back) Ironicly it still runs strong and hard. I am getting the batter recharged and I will check with the use of another igniter. The seller of the one I bought has a 100% rep on ebay and said if I find out what the problem is, send back igniter and he will exchange for what is needed. I have had threads come back that led me to, timing belt, starter, throtle positioning sensore, and fuel pump.
I am trying to find out who might be best to handle this in the area. The way the engine runs, as it is I can still get another 100K out of it. Thanks for sending me in the right direction and if all else fails, another engine it will be. |
