Red face I have a similiar problem

I was told that my igniter in my 90 7mgte was bad, put a used one in and still cranks but does not kick in. (kinda sounds like a car out of gas.) I have not driven in a year and I miss the road...any clues?

The mechanic I went to was pretty thorough and checked to conclude it was igniter. I tried to jump start after changing igniter, same result. Would the low battery eclopse a jump start?

Point blank it wont kick over.

Default Simple.

Wait a bit longer, save some money, buy a new engine, with turbo and tranny...simple fix!

Other than that, you MAY have just gotten a bad igniter again...the used one.

Hollowed be thy power, thy mods are great, thy speed endless,
On the road or at the track. Give us this day free of cops,
And forgive us our impound charges, as we forgive those who are slow.
And lead us not into speed traps, and deliver us from the interceptors,
For thine is our car, the power, and the glory…forever and ever….amen.

Wink Supra Wont start

Thanks my fellow brother in Supra. The sad thing is I only have 128K on the engine. I am in NJ and i will ultimately need some one to rebuild my bottom half of the engine (rod knock wife drove it w/o oil 3 years back) Ironicly it still runs strong and hard. I am getting the batter recharged and I will check with the use of another igniter. The seller of the one I bought has a 100% rep on ebay and said if I find out what the problem is, send back igniter and he will exchange for what is needed. I have had threads come back that led me to, timing belt, starter, throtle positioning sensore, and fuel pump.

I am trying to find out who might be best to handle this in the area. The way the engine runs, as it is I can still get another 100K out of it.

Thanks for sending me in the right direction and if all else fails, another engine it will be.
