Well supras themselves are very very reliable cars, there parts last forever it seems but they dont exactly get the best gas milage for a 6 cylinder car. And in 84 they were still using the 2.8L not as much power but still not bad (doesn't make a HUGE difference but a litte) The parts are pretty much silmilar to the late models so parts arn't a hard thing to find specaily if you have a local import dealer. If I remember right the 84 had 2 recalls on them. One on the Engine cooling and one on the Alternator/Generator/Regulator. But it only affected about... 75,000 if that makes you feel better LOL. If your very very serious about buying you could ask the person your buying it from for the VIN number and see if it was in any accidents or if any recalls or anything affected it.
