Default Newbie to the forum and Toyota Supras

Hey there everyone. Im a newbie to the forum and to Supras. I just bought a 1990 manual for $1,000.00. Its a real project car. The motor is in very good condition, including the clutch. The exterior is half primmed and half oxidized. The interior is okay, but the cloth is ripping. The modling above the front bumper is gone. I will post pics when I get a chance. I will post it on the parts for sale/buy area, as I will be needing them. My original car, which I still have, is a 2001 Mitusbishi Galant (aka Gaylant). It only comes in automatic and is slow as hell. I have many cosmetic modificaitions on it, but thats it. Motor is pretty stock. I have always been in love with this body style supra. Hopefully I can learn from you all and build a car that I have always wanted....

Default Welcome

Stick around and keep your eyes and ears open. You can learn a lot from these folks. I have saved thousands of dollars making simple repairs myself with the TSRM and input from members. They got me through emissions test step, by step. It took me three times, but when I finally passed the emissions had plunged dramatically. Good luck, hope your on the road soon with your 1st Supra. Ain't they great cars.

A 90 with a 5spd for $1000? sounds like you got a great deal! Supra's are alot of fun to own and IMHO one of the sexiest sports cars, period...much less one you can get for around a grand.

Make yourself a bookmark to the TSRM : http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/ or DL this one: http://groundsky.co.nz/techinfo/TSRM/

...and start reading threads here about the stuff you want to do. Please do your research before asking a question though, as you will find most questions have already been asked and discussed at length.

Enjoy owning a special car, owned by special people.....Just ask Supra2NR if hes special, but please wait until he exits the short bus.
