Default Mileage Help

I may be buying an '88 Supra, and it has 206k miles on it. Is that too many miles or what? Will the engine still perform, or will it require too much maintenance at that many miles?

Bump

Just bumping....

I seriously need a response. If I can't get an answer I will probably be stuck buyinga '95 240SX...which isn't bad, but hell, it's not a Supra O.o

It all depends on how it was treated. You can get a low mileage engine for cheap.

If you buy the 240sx your name will change to SexuallyFrustrated... Nothing you can do about that!

Is this supra you are planning on buying turbo?

Basically mileage means nothing IF, and only if, the vehicle was properly maintained and on time. Which is basically non-exsistant in todays world where the car is driven until the wheels fall off, or until it doesnt move under its own power.

Ive seen a car with 20K miles with a shot motor. It was a Ford.

Ive seen a car with 330K miles that drove perfectly fine. It was a Saab.

Ive seen many cars from 80k miles to 230k miles that were in perfect running and driving condition.

Just speaking from hands on experience.
