I've street raced a buddy's RX-7 and it would red-line easy. But If you say a supra can't do it...who am I to argue...I dun really know a whole lot about them. Just know that usually they can beat my Civic, cause it's N/A without supercharger or Turbo on it...just Borla Exaust...

its not that my car cant redline, i did it a couple of times, and a civic? trust me those cars have a hard time keeping up with me when i shift at 5000 rpms , i dunt redline my car cuz my headgasket hasnt been replaced with a metal one yet, im building up my funds to find a 1jzgte or jus a 7mgte, so thats why im trying to drive my car as soft as i can
but race me with a civic , crx, prelude, or any car evenly matched with the same mods that i got, and i can show them what an inline engine can do

so i was wondering about the tires. should i let some air out so there is more rubber in contact with the road, or would that just cause more drag? maybe keep em filled up front and let some out of the back?

you could go out and find yourself a set of mickeyT's cheater slicks. I think you can run those down to about 15lbs or air. They are essentially racing "slicks" with tread on em and DOT approved. When bracket racing the most important things to do are cut good lights and stay consistant. Dont race the guy next to you...run your own race.

well as far a raceing with street tires i would say just under normal psi (thats is how they are ment to be run) and if you do burnouts to heat the tires befor you run dont over heat them alot of people do and well it pretty much just eats the tread off the tire and dosnt improve traction any i find it better to oly heat street tires a little.
