Give it a complete looking over mechanically and if you know someone who knows cars at least somewhat have them go with you.

specifically have the engine tested for a blown head gasket. if the gasket is bad youll be putting as much money into it as you bought it for if you take it to a shop, or many hundreds if you do it yourself.

and this is my 86.5 N/A, bought for 1500. id seriously think about bringing down the price
