Dont worry, im a kid too. But If you want the end-all for cold air intakes, It doesnt matter what metal/material its made out of, As long as your getting ambient(outside) air and not hot air from the radiator/exhaust/motor thats burning lots of gasoline and air to make power. And that heatsheild on the subaru does a good job of that, It stops the flow of hot air, even if it radiates a little heat in. And on a supra the filter is already in a good spot, I would just say get rid of the wrinkly rubber hose and that muffler thing.
