First. It's 1JZ-GTE...not GTTE. It's a pretty much drop in affair, but you have to do some electrical work to get it to work right. It's pretty well documented, so it's easy enough to do. You need to make sure that you have EVERYTHING you need for the swap, just an engine is not enough. Aftermarket parts are getting easier to get for the 1jz specifically, but a lot of parts are interchangable w/ the 2jz.
