code 52 knock sensor can't pass emissions

so i look at my engine and on the driverside i see something that looks like
that part that ddmcse posted a link to.

it was hanging and the wires were disconnected/broken off.

it also appears that the mount for that ks is broken. im not exactly sure where it is since it was hanging ill have to look at it later..

hopefully after i test it like that link showed or this picture see if its good or not...

That's a diagram of one of your VSV's, not a knock sensor. You can bolt it up anywhere or nowhere so long as the wiring connector is secure and you have the vacuum lines to it hooked up properly.

well i still need to check that cause my mixture seems to be running rich....
like the fumes from my car are pretty strong.

i guess i gotta go searchin for the 2 KS's..

Here's a pic of the ks locations...

The front one is kinda hiding back underneath the intake plenum and manifold, the rear one is tucked in underneath the front edge of your starter.

so i havent been able to get to the knock sensors.. due to my inexperience with fixing cars... dont wanna make my situation worse..

just waiting for one of my friends to help me out but none have had the time.. maybe if someones in the SF bay area can help me out.. trying not to take my car in to a shop..
