Default How much for New Paint Job?

I have a MK III with a small ding on right front quater panel, barely noticeable. How much would it cost to get the car painted nice and the ding pulled. I don't want the "Ambasador Special", but I don't want to spend toooo much money either. My car doesn't look that bad, but the UV's have done a little wear on it, especially anything thats plastic (bumpers, etc.). The car is Black and I would like to keep it that way. Who ever had it before me must have went through a lot of ArmorAll as the interior is perfect. It's like a maroon red, with velour seats. I think a new paint job could really make this car look cherry.

Any Feedback?

James

It also depends what type of paint you want, and where you get it. I'm pretty sure that the dealer paint is the best but the expense is big. It'll probably be at least 3k, other than that you can go to any body shop and get a paint job like a dealer would make. I would probably be 2k , or a decent one for $800-1000. Or if you live in California, you can take the car to TJ and completely fix it up there, tayloring and great paint for less than 1k.

$35 for a quart of black paint, get some dtl and hopefully you have a paint gun at use and do it yourself... works for me

oh yeah, plus the time and effort and a bit more expense for the prep work, definately cheaper than taking it to someone else to do it for you
