sorry ive never heard of a block test.
what all do they check for on the test?

oh heh sorry... just habit to type the abbreviation

hg = head gasket

block test is like a rocket shaped tube with a rubber bung on the end, you fill it with blue fluid that is supplied with the kit and then put it in the top of the radiator where the cap would normally be
you then hold it in there till your thermostat opens and the water circulates... if the blue turns yellow or green you have exhaust gasses in your water

ok now i know what your talking about

the guy already has one and has tested it about 12 times sence hes owned it
and it said it was fine.

btw: a dashbord light came on to. it looked like this. sorry its not very good (paint)
its supost to be a outline of the car with 6 lines coming out the back
