Need New CAT

Okay,

So I shop around for a new cat, Magnaflow being one of the good ones. Anyone else know of some other names? How about "Bosal", I see a lot of them around. Then I have it installed. Does it need to be welded? Or can I do this my self with sockets and wrenches? It looks like I could do it but I'm not sure. Also, in the future, (when my wallet gets fatter) I would like to upgrade to a header with larger down pipe, so what should I take into consideration with an eye toward that? Also, still have not gotten hood open but am going to body shop this weekend. I hope they don't have to cut anything as I recently payed $229 for the "header panel" (nose cone). Special question to mrnickleye: after replacing the 02 sensor, I have noticed a difference (for the better) in engine opeation and especially fuel consumption, should I attempt another pass at the emissions test without the new cat and just see what kind of numbers pop out?
