Unhappy 1990 TURBO SUPRA wants to die after 4500rpms.. HELP PLEASEEE!!!!

so... 1990 turbo supra wants to stall after about 4500 rpms.. doesnt matter what gear, the car just bogs out.. just as boost is kicking in/or about to kick in. HOWEVER.. not all the time. if the car is off, and i crank it up.. and run it, its fine but once the motor warms up usually about 10 min or so.. is when the motor bogs out.. does anyone know any possibilities on the cause?

spark plugs? injectors? boost leak?

Thank You!!

Cool

bogs or cuts out ?

FCO = fuel supply cut off to save your engine from running lean and melting

recently made mods to your turbo's supra ?

i wouldn't call FCO anything like the engine " bogs out" but everyone is different

most people crap pants during first FCO , check pants for signs

supra is stock, the car feels like its bogging out, jolts back and forth, rpms drop, and it only happens sometimes after the car has been running..

Default boging out supra

to racinrookie88

Well sounds to me like you should take it in put it on a computer to get a code read out and then have a compression test done. Cause if it is the aluminum block when the motor heats up you will lose compression and then your boost will slip right past the pistons, if that fails you might ant to check out the waste gate and the blow off valve to see if there is any blockage or if they are functioning the way they should be. I had the same problem with the 89 i had and it turned out to be bad piston rings and my blow off valve was shot.

good luck with the car.

TY so much, i actually went out and got new NGK spark plugs.. put them in and it doesnt do it anymore, i do have to get the valve cover gasket and spark plug gasket, 1-3 were nasty in oil and they used cheap ass spark plugs too.. =[

2 projects goin on at once, its actually my fiance's supra, and i have my 83 datsun 280z soon to be rb26dett powered.. and he wants to do the 1jzgte swap for his supra..
