I own an 86' Supra NO turbo and when ever i crank my A/C a really nasty smell comes about.

The car has got 220,000 km on it that would be something like 132,000 miles and it runs great. the only problem is that A/C and a couple cig burns in the seat from the previous owner. I've had it peaked at 195-200 km/h about 117-120 mile and hour and ya.. beutiful car.

Just e-mail me for a picture and what of (engine compartment, or side body ect.)

By the way I'm not entirely sure that the measurements in miles are correct because we use kilometers in Canada.

My A/C started getting that icky smell you get when you turn it off, and leave the fan running. A mildew thing. So I got some 'Lisol' disenfectant spray at the store and ran the A/C on high fan, sprayed about 1/3 of the can into the vent in front of the windshield.

Did it near the passenger side cause that's where it gets sucked into the fan. The smell went away cause it killed the mold and mildew grows in the moisture that sits in the box after you turn off the A/C.

In case you didn't know...the A/C works by the evaporator absorbing the heat and moisure from the air that if forced thru it. That is why you have water dripping out of the drain tube (on a humid day) when A/C is running. The tube must be free and unclooged to let the water out. I've seen many cars with plugged or kinked drain hoses.

The absorbed heat from the evaporator goes to the consensor (out front of the radiator), where it is the dispersed into the outside air.

And if the lysol thing don't work , i know they have specific automotive products which is also an aerosol spray exacty for that type of problem. But if the lysol thing worked for nickleye, I don't see why it wouldn't work for you.
