Hey all. I have a 79 supra and I can barely find any information on these buggers. Is there anywhere I can get some info on them. Also could I get some hop up parts; maybe make her breathe a little easier. I dont want to go throwing parts on her and have them not work or really bust her up. A little info on the car original 68000 miles on a 4me engine 5 speed manual and a hardcore am-fm radio. Everything is original and runs as good as it did 26 years ago.

I hate to say this, but as far as 4ME performance parts go, good luck. You'll find next to nothing.
A K&N air filter will help alittle.

well im not really looking for bolt on parts more like articles about things that have been done to exhaust, clutch, ignition, fuel delivery, anything really.

well this wasnt really hard to come by, it was my pops and he has had it since the day it rolled off the lot. I have always liked the car and dreamed of the day I would drive it and FINALLY in my last year in college my motorcycle dies and he says I can take the supra up with me. it was a good day. yes it was a good day.

Oh and does anyone know what the name of the kinds of amps that arent connected to the reciever but inline with the speakers. like
[RADIO]-----speaker wire left------- AMP-----left speaker
|-------------speaker wire right-----| |-------right speaker

excuse the picasso just trying to explain in pictures if ya dont quite get what i was trying to say.

If I owned a 79 Celica/Supra with 65,000 on the ticker....I wouldn't touch a thing. Keep it all original man, busting it up will only decrease the value.

But thats just me, but then again, I own an 86.5 first year MK3 that got backed into in the parking lot at my work. I have went out and snatched up a black fender for it (The one on it could easily be fixed, but having bondo in my car would eat at me)

My paint on the car is original and perfect....if nothing else I can have the black fender painted to match my white car. But that would be my second option only. Right now I am looking high and low for a perfect white fender with the original factory paint in mint condition.

Something about being able to say..

Original motor
Original PAINT
Original exhaust
Spare tire is the original one that came with the car, it has never been on the ground...or out of the hatch for that matter that I know of. I got it in 93, the woman I bought it off of had it for three years, and she is a close friend of mine, she bought the car from her cousin in 90 and I know him as well.

Car is nearly 20 years old, and just turned 100,000 miles...
Something about knowing the fender has been painted would bug me. I need a white drivers side fender with factory paint in perfect condition. If I had a mint 79, Id be the exact same way, probably even more so.
