Default I have seen the light

I've decided to finally purchase a Supra(MK IV) and was wondering what I should do. I'll be buying a manual non-turbo and swapping in a GTE. The only big question I have is has any one used the head from an IS 300 to use the VVT in combination with a GTE bottom end and is it worth the cost. I will be searching for a 6 speed transmission as well and turning the car into a fun weekend ride when I feel the need for boost. Any ideas and thougts are welcome.

There's a lot more to the MKIV TT than just the gTe. See this thread, for a start:

NB: Please consider posting any help requests in a new thread instead of asking me for help privately. About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners.
