I am seriously considering building up my 1FZ-FE 4.3L 24 valve, straight 6 cylinder Toyota motor on my 1993 Toyota Landcruiser....I recently found out the stock tranny and drivetrain can handle up to 400hp with no reported problems. So I am going to rebuild this motor myself shortly and am considering a TRD supercharger or some other easy type turbo setup to get the engine producing up to or around 400hp... I believe this motor is a very similar motor to the MKIV Supra's, not sure, maybe different cams or something, I don't know... Anyway, wondering if I can build this motor and safely pull 400hp on the stock rebuilt internal engine parts or do I need forged piston, rods, etc?..I need info on this so I know which direction to go with the rebuild. Can someone offer me any advise or info on this, it would be most appreciated....?
