Having owned three 300zx's (2 NA's & 1 Turbo) and now a Supra NA, and think I can probably offer some input on the situation.
The 300zx is a GREAT car. I loved all 3 of mine. The power with the TT is there and there's A LOT of potential for these car in the speed and handling portion. Granted, this potental does not compare to the MKIV TT. Basically, it's going to come down to what you want, and what your goals are. If you're on a budget and want to go fast, a twin turbo Z is probably your best bet. If you want something "newer and updated" with a stylish appeal that you don't see everyday, consider the NA Supra. Basically a well built TT Z will cost the same as a stock Supra NA. I sold my Z for $8,600, and bought my Supra for $9,600. (Granted this was after months of searching, and I ended up getting one hell of a deal) but that should give you some idea on price. In my case, I've always wanted a Supra, and was able to sell my Z TT to buy my NA. The Supra fits me better and I love driving it. Going from the speed and power of the Z down to the Supra took some getting used to, (which is probably why I'm in the process of piecing together a 2jz-gte swap) but I'm in love with how the Supra drives, rides, and handles. One day, I think I'd like to pick up another Z. But then again, I've owned a few cars that I've really liked. Anyway, I hope that helped! Last edited by shorty_du_op; 01-06-2006 at 11:49 PM. |
