Well its not rocket science but its not like chaging the alternator. On a scale from 1 to 10 for me making a mkiv 6speed from a TT would be like a 7.5 ( keep in mind that this is major work that you are doing not some small stuff like a break upgrade or a new suspension ) you can pick up a tranny for about 3 gs. ( good one) then you are talking about redoing the column , differential ( if you want , its better ) I think the shaft needs to be replaced , good clutch and I think some other things that would be described in the link above.. Depending if you are doing this yourself and where and what kind of parts you use.. ( most expensive items will be tranny , diff, possobly a GOOD clutch ) it all depends on what and how you do it.. you can get it done anywhere from ( 3,500 to 10,000 )
