Default 1994 engine

I just bought a 1994 Supra, body looks awesome but engine has 193k miles. What are the chances that i will have to replace the engine /tranny?

  1. Is it an n/a or a TT?
  2. Do you have maintenace records?
  3. How hard has it been driven during those 193k miles

If the car hasn't been driven hard, and it's been maintained well, chances are the engine and tranny are just fine. However, if it's been maintained poorly and/or it has been driven hard, chances are you'll need to replace the enigine and/or turbos soon. The tranny is probably fine, unless it's never had the fluid changed or it's been driven very hard (eg dragstrips and/or repeated 'powershifts').

i contacted the owner and he told me its all highway mileage, it was never raced or abused. He also told me that it was garaged 98% of the year.
