Your car won't run right if at all without the maf. The intake kit was most likely made for a JDM supra which uses a map sensor and air intake sensor instead of the maf sensor.

Yeah listen to KWnate, I forgot to connect my maf one time after changing my turbo and my car wouldn't even get past 2,500 rpms without dying out.

Thanks alot for your help guys. I guess I hav to sell this intake now, unless I buy a MAP-ECU and get it tuned....to get rid of the MAF.

You could always trim the pipe on the HKS intake kit so that it flows into the MAF...
