Default EGR System cost

I was wondering how much it will cost me for an EGR system for my JDM 94 supra, so that I can pass EPA tests... THANKS

Honestly, not much at all for most of the components. Lots of mkiv owners in the US have torn everything off (eg EGR valve, egr pipe, vsv, etc.) as part of their single turbo install. ...BUT, there are two parts that you will have difficulty with:
1) The US-spec cylinder head: It has a hole drilled from the #6 exhaust runner to the backside of the head and then another hole drilled towards the front of the head to beside the #6 intake runner. It also has several threaded bolt holes for the EGR plate that goes over the back of the head to route the exhaust gas to the intake runner hole. Lastly, there are two threaded stud holes for the EGR mount on the intake runners.
2) Used us-spec lower intake runners are rare, since they're often used to construct aftermarket intake plenums.
Without all of this, building the EGR will be somewhat difficult.

I'll end my post with some (hopefully) good news for you: As long as you're not in California, you should be able to pass a tailpipe smog test without an EGR system (as long as you have the oem catalytic converters in your downpipe and exhaust). Hopefully NY does not require a visual inspection of oem components.

NB: Please consider posting any help requests in a new thread instead of asking me for help privately. About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners.
