The T88 and T78 are ancient turbo technology. The SP74 will do 800rwhp via a 6spd no problem, but the SP76 is overkill (and therefore not worth the extra lag). Yep, no problem with a 6spd...just keep your foot (mostly) off the gas during the long road trip...since I'd have to assume that you won't be running race fuel during that drive.
