750hp = 637.5 through a 6spd. Getting an Mkiv TT to 637.5rwhp isn't too tough. You'll need a full fuel system (about $2K), a full turbo upgrade kit ($4K-$5K), a good FMIC (about $1500), exhaust ($500-$2000), clutch ($2K), ecu upgrade (eg MAP ecu) about $1K, and rims&tires to transfer all that new hp to the road (about $3K). You'll also need about $3K+ in labor to install all of this and get it tuned.

sorry that last reply was rather short. ok, so if i moded it to 750 hp, would i need race fuel or anything? and would that become uneconomcial as a road car for travelling? because i dont want to have to spend 1000's of $$$ on race fuel.
also, just wondering how much $$$ to get it up to 550 - 650hp at crank. couple of grand? thnx for ur patience. martin

Each figure is different. 550hp is very different than 650hp. In general, anything over about 500hp at the crank will start costing a lot of $$$ because you have to change out ('upgrade') the turbos.

ok thanx that helped alot. maybe i'd just go for the limit of about 550hp, so i wouldn't need to do a hefty upgrade. that should also stay nice and economical for road use and wouldn't cost much to get it to that stage.
i don't have heaps of money to play around with riht now, maybe a further upgrade later on. sorry i ask lots of questions, but any ideas on how much a nitrous system would cost to purchase and the ease of self-installation?

Kind of tough to self install, especially if you want a decent, safe install. Same with the nos kit - you can get it cheap (<$500), and blow up the engine. The nos kit gets expensive (>$1000+) when you add in all of the electronic controls and tuning necessary for it to perform consistently and keep the engine safe.
