wont go past 3000 rpms
 

i have a 89 7m-ge that when i push the throtle it wont go past 3000 rpms and i have no clue wat is wrong can anybody help me??

I did not have a supra for long, so I am not sure, but when I went to my mechanic to safety my car there was a supra there and he was saying it had a bad TPS sensor. He said it did not go past 3000 RPM because of that.

Check your codes.

Use any wire or get a spare plug with 2 male pins and make your own jumper like I did.

sounds like a bad mass air flow sensor...but check codes first.....

When I was readjusting my TPS I did it wrong the first time. My RPMs would hit 3000 and drop immediately...after adjusting it properly with the OEM manual it worked normally again. The TPS could be it as "Furia" stated before.
