Default Open downpipe?

Is there an hp gain with a open down pipe? Cause I have a 3" down pipe but it has this very restricted 2.5" Monza cat back. How loud is it with an open down pipe? Good?

open downpipe is fun at first, especialy when you set off alarms and stuff but it gets annoying after awhile, id say its almosts as loud as harleys and youll also realize why they call the 7m the truck engine when you hear it at open downpipe, try it out sometime, youll impress all the ricers cause you know the louder your exhaust the faster your car is

I don't like it, but I haven't had the time or money to put an exhaust on it.

i have an open downpipe on my car

original plan was to run the exhaust to the side to make it, well,
a side exit exhaust, but i got a lowered car, and
to say the least, it hits everythign when i drive

but an open downpipe has its advantages, almost no backpressure at all
which adds HP to a turbo car

and yes setting off alarms is fun as hell
i parked in a parking buliding in downtown chicago
and i was setting every single alarm off,
which pisses pple off, and gives me a good laugh
chicks dig it too

but you do get too much unneeded attention from the cops
i got a court-date for it already
so we'll see how this one plays out
