Angry Just need to vent..

I Hate squirrels!!

Let me explain.

I just got my supra and I was doing some work to get it to where I want it. I started by getting it repainted it had some surface rust and that was not going to work for me. I then brought it to Midas to get a tune up; they go through the car and proceed to tell me that it is going to be about $700, mostly because of the dam spark plugs. So I agree because I need the car back as soon as possible. It also needed a new muffler so I decided to go with a new custom bent Magnaflow cat' back exhaust (got the muffler cheap so it didn’t cost that much). I go to pick up the car as they where doing the final check and test drive when the mechanic realizes that it’s not firing on one cylinder. Here we go, turns out that in the two years that the car sat before I got it a squirrel decided to make the engine compartment its home worse yet right under the engine cover. And during his stay he chewed through some of the wiring harness! Most is repairable except the injector clip (part that clips to the injectors) and apparently Toyota decided that they didn’t feel like making that clip available to the public (at least not to my knowledge) so I have checked every wrecking yard within my city and not one mkiii.
It is still in the shop right now and I am waiting for an answer as to what will happen, which is probably why I feel so frustrated.

AHHHHH SQUIRRELS!!

Very unlucky.

Instead of spending 700$ for you should have spend a bit more for a jdm engine

How much would a JDM engine go for?

There is a shop here in Montreal, Quebec where they sell them under 30,000 km + transmission for 1035$

here is the link
http://www.jdmracingmotors.com/index...rs&motor_id=34

maybe in a local shop it would be cheaper for you!

That would be sweet but then it would be:
$1035
+ 360 for shipping.
+ Install.
= Way to much for this college student.
But thanks or the input.

Replacement injector clips are available from Toyota. If your local dealership can't get them let me know the year and model and I'll get you the part number... then order them from Champion Toyota in TX. Much better prices than most dealerships and they ship pretty quickly.

You can get almost any part from the dealer. If they say they can't get it in, they are probably lying.

Hell, might as well upgrade since you're turbo. Get RC injectors and buy the clips for them with the injectors.

I think some one down there is being and ass. And I would love to get new injectors and all new clips but this little adventure has already put me in debt along with paying my tuition for the year.
Oh and my park brake cable snapped on the way to the shop this morning but it is ordered and will be installed tomorrow.
