Dear lord I think everyone here has asked that 1 once.

Try pulling a search on that and see what you find.

I'm a 91 na with a stock pipe and a 16 inch glasspack with a dual tip.
Sounds great. Or I seem to remember when it ran I dug it just fine and it only cost 50 bucks. Bang for the buck right there.

u got a glasspack dual tip Cold Air Intake???
he was asking for intake systems, not mufflers

and yes, bang for the buck right? about 1-2hp gain for 50 dollars
since ur still using the restrictive stock piping with a muffler
thats really bang for the buck right there.

Does anyone even make a true CAI for the MKIII? I've never seen one. I've got 3" piping running from an air filter under my passenger headlight to the TB. Like Supra2NR said, you're not going to see any real gain in performance.

The biggest problem with the N/A's intake is the AFM, not the air filter or where it's located. The stock air box does a better job supplying the engine with cold air than a those on a lot of newer cars. If you're planning on just throwing on an adapter and a conical filter and leaving it in the engine bay you're more likely to loose power. This is because instead of improving things you've left the restrictions in place and now you've made sure the engine will receive plenty of nice hot air.

EDIT: I tried to vote but Apexi seems to have been left out.

ya a true cai gets the air from outside the engine bay. dont believe there is a bolt on for the mk3. most people just throw on a filter and then if you anal about keepin the hot air away you can box the filter in/out. ive read the hks filter sucks and the k&n filter you have to oil. i went with the apexi also
