Default Thermometer wierdness

When i floor my car (or at least get the rpm's high, 3.5-5k) the thermometer will die. It Goes all the way to the position that it is at when the car is off.

check your connection on the sending unit below the thermostat housing.

I would replace the sending unit. Its only $20 from the dealer. Use a 17mm closed end wrench to remove it so you don't have to remove the power steering reservoir.

The sensor is actually on the water outlet housing, not the thermostat housing.
