After the car has fully warmed up you can take the little arm off of the throttle body that has an adjustable rod end and see what the idle is with it off. If it goes down then you just need to adjust the rod end.
The other method is the dashpot screw. You can loosen the jamnut and turn it out till you get the desired RPM. If method one and two don't bring it down then you will have to bring the throttle stop screw down a little but after doing that you will have to check your TPS to see if the idle switch in the TPS is still adjusted properly with a meter and feeler guage. |
