Default redlining

how bad is redlining for your car? I have never put my car past 4k yet, but I know it taps its power around 5400? (86.5 NA).

I always want to just floor it but i'm nervous

You'll feel a severe power cut when you go to high. Stay right under the red mark and you'll be fine.

Fine as in, do it whenever you "feel the need for speed" ? lol

you don't want to make it a habit right?

isn't that how BHG's happen?

I said keep it under the red and you'll be fine.

Ultimately you never want to red line and if you find that you do, somewhat frequently. Then you may want to concider a shift light.

What turbo timer are you talking about

Cuz most turbo timers jus keep the car running after u turn the key off

It really depends on the engine and clutch. Some of the MKIII's I've met would drop dead if pushed that hard. Mine will do it all day long. With cars as old as ours the published power specs are typically worthless.

I don't recommend always hammering on it and if you've never pushed it hard don't just start revving it to the top all the time. If something's going to give it's better it does it with less load on it.

I say load that b_itch. If it's going to go it's going to go.

Nothing you can do, except make sure it's a fabulous show.

We should all buy new z cars and thrash our supras.
