3-4k depending on driving conditions
When going all out, my cars: 1jz max 7k 7m max 7.5k did 8300 once, whoops ![]()

2.5-3k on. If im going up a hill i usually shift around 3.5k because my 4th gear doesnt like to pull on hills and straights (sometimes)

3K to 3.5K here. I generally cruise around 2.5K.
The risk with always waiting until about 5.5K is, as you mentioned, excessive wear. The range you cruise in is a bigger factor. You should keep a closer eye on wear components, seals and fluids. If something were to start leaking you'd loose fluid a lot faster. If you stay on top of maintenance it's not a very big deal. |

on the freeway i cruise at about 3k at 70mph. OR something real close to that i forgot.
