you should check ignition timing as well.... "big hands" might have gotten under it and f*ed something up
10* btdc is normal. you have to cross the t1 and e1 wires or some stupid crap to check it with the timing light/tach also you'd need a lab scope to make sure the 02 isn't faulty. a multimeter doesn't take samples fast enough. find something with more than 1million samples a asecond. shitty exhaust gaskets will also cause lots of problems.
