Drop the subframe or pull the motor. Take your pick. Only 2 ways to do it.

Dropping the subframe is alot easier.

Question

Some one has told me that you can jack the engine up and drop the frame and get to it.

It's kind of one of those things you go out and buy a case of oil and a metal drip pan and hang a tennis ball from the ceiling touching the auto in your chosen spot and check the oil more regular.

Unless it's bad. I have never had the displeasure of dealing with this one yet so I have only been in on discussions. So feel free to correct me.

And YA.
It's going to suck. There is no easy solution.
IMO, Pulling the engine is where the smart money is played.

Anyone know off hand how much the wieghs right off hand.

Thats what I was afraid of, trying to unscrew 20 year old bolts out of a frame and then I might as well buy new shocks, coils, bolts, sway bar end links, brake lines, e.t.c I love how they made this car. when they run they run, when they break, take out your platinum visa.

When they rebuilt the motor they obviously never retorqued bolts, cuz every oil pan bolt or other motor related bolt was finger loose, I'm surprised the damn things bolts didn't fall out entirely, put 20k on the rebuild and now ALL the gaskets are leaking that touch oil, damnit, just replaced the valve cover ones, then noticed the timing belt was a used one since it looks old as hell. looks like a case of beer and 4 hours tomorrow for me to replace them all..Thank you for the help guys!
