I work in customer service so i can be good at making people feel miserably for shoddy service. So the consensus is that I have a right to go and bitch them out for a BHG after 30k miles?

Actually I read last night, the tsrm states 58lbs. of torque.

I used a 2 inch extention and went to 85lbs. myself because I figure the extention threw it off a few lbs.

Did you mean an extension, like a typical socket one (the kind in everybodys toolbox), or like a crowsfoot one??

A typical extension will use the SAME torque spec, because you are still coming straight up in line with the fastener.
You could use any length of this type, 2,3,6,12" etc.

Also, were you using factory bolts? And if so, they are NOT to be re-used.
