NO! Do NOT get a performance chip. It's a waste of money. HKS does sell a fuel cut defencer. But a little food for thought. Fuel cut is there to keep you from blowing your motor. It keeps you from running lean. How much boost are you trying to run?

I agree with dcrusupra.

The performance chips are bogus bunk. They don't do what you want, the way you were raised to think a perormance chip works.

You can get them. Toyota will take your green.
I bet they'd even install it for you..., for an hours worth of labor when it took the tech 15 minutes. It's more work to walk out to the car and get it and pull it in, than what work is required to install it.

I know guys that have the chip. I know 3 to be more direct.
2 say nothing notta...., and 1 says he can't tell yet and wants to give it a chance. LMAO

If that bad boy gets put in.., it works with the next turn of the ignition.

If your chip is installed and you are wondering if it's working..........,
it aint working.

At 10 lbs of boost you shouldnt be hitting fuel cut.

How long would you have to run as lean as this type of damage would require?

I bet there is more damage than that. Has it been dis-assembled yet?
