Alright gents. I have yet another in a series of questions.

I am not going to be able to install the head until thursday.
I have it covered with a towel. Is there anything else I should be doing to it.

My gut tells me to lube it and my head says to leave it be.

Any opinions on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Guys.

i hear ya on the supramania topic, thats how i felt at first but then i realized that they had a lot of info to offer so i just tucked tailed and licked my wounds. now i try to stay low over there.

as for the crank. i got my bolt off in a matter of hours(?) got a breaker bar on it, put the e-brake on and put it in gear, then put like a 4ft alum pole over the breaker bar. oh ya that was real handy, keep that around for the future. and the crank pulley we had a pulley tool and that took about 10 mins(?). getting it back on was so much easier and quicker

Ij used to be a moderator over there and was always trying to band me. He could never get enough in one sitting to make it happen.

Now he's just one of the many olds coolers. I think they banned him for instigating when they banned me because I asked him how roo tasted.
I was being serious and I guess that's a dis to an aussy. I have 1 thread there that I keep up and check.

This forum is not as busy. But the guys here really help you help yourself.

mrnickleye and the hack hater are both very knowledgable. I have learned alot.

point of fact is I have learned more here in a few weeks than I did in a year at supramania. And everyone checks there shit at the door here. It's a very cohesive environment. It must be people speak to me here, lol. There are only a handfull of people at that other forum that do that. I am phasing myself out of sm to hang out here.

And ya. My rod was a bit over 3 feet long and it gave no problem.

Mike

Anyhow.....

The head is on. I had to remove the rear 4 studs to get it to drop and then allen wrench them in.

The head gasket went on nicely. It's all just sitting there under a towel.
I realized tonight I am going to need a deep well socket for my torque wrench.

I bought the deep well socket and a 5 inch extention. Will the extention throw off the torque wrench???
