I don't know about how strong a stock Supra turbo motor is when you get crazy stupid with cranking up the boost with a manual boost controller, but don't do what i did with my Eclipse. It was running pretty good until an old coworker of mine had the stupid idea of making a ghetto boost controller out of a piece of vacuum line connector, with a small hole drilled into it to force the waste gate to open later. Needless to say, i was running about 16 lbs of boost on a stock motor and nearly popped it. That's why it's been sitting in my garage for about a year and has been sidelined for at least the past two. I wore the rings out. It was eating about a quart or two of oil a week. I'll bet i won't do that again.
