theres more modification needed on the motor mounts to handle a 2jz, the motor is a little heavier than a 1jz, personally i did the 1jz cause i dint have the money to put in a 2jz, i was happy with it and im glad i did it, a 7m is a good respectable swap, just gotta make sure everything is perfect though

how much?!

You said you did a 1JZ swap and are happy?

How much was the total amount spent after parts and installation fee?

This is important to me.. I'm stuck between the thought of a 1JZ and a 2JZ. How much would it have been for either

1JZ what'd you pay?
2JZ what would you have paid?

Any place to get an R154 auto tranny too?
Thanks for all the help everyone, keep it coming!!

i paid about 950 for the motor...only had about 15k on it last time i checked, installation was basically free cause me and a couple boys did it at my friend's shop and they know me real well, as for parts the only thing i needed was a usdm harness, and most of everything else was aftermarket of some sort, not sure of the stock parts that i needed i would say total cost for me would probably be around the 2-2.5K once i was done, what saved me a lot was installation and labor because we did most of it ourselves
