help with getting repairs started (total Newbie)

The 87-92 7M is a non-interference engine. You will not bend the valves if the valve timing is not correctly set.

Hardest part of replacing the timing belt is getting the crank bolt and crank pulley off. Then figureing out how to torque the crank bolt to 195 ft/lbs when you are done.

It took me 10 minutes to replace my timing belt and timing belt tensioner, once the front of the motor was apart.

Toyota timing belt: $38.37
Toyota timing belt tensioner: $136.28
Toyota timing belt tensioner spring: $6.51
