Default question about auto to manual

was just wandering how hard it would be to do a swap from an auto to manual.

ya i kinda got that same question......i know that u need a new wiring harness, ecu, gear box and clutch....drive line i think i also required in the swap....but i hear the hardest part is mounting the clutch linkage and pedal...it probbably cost about $2500 to do it corectly......but i would like to find some instructions for that

anybody know how much HP the 7mgte auto tranny can handle?

i heard that the auto tranny starts to mess up around 300hp, not to sure thought, and do a search through the forum their are plenty of posts about the auto to manual.

im not sure about the linkage, but i hear the pedal is really easy. there are supposedly pre drilled holes in the fire wall and you bolt the pedal inside with the master cylinder in the engine compartment. i read that very recently here on the forum i think so search around...it had pics and everything

how much power are you looking to put out search the web they have bellhousings that can be hooked up to reliable gm transmissons or for racing the powerglide that might be a cheaper alternative cuz the technology is much greater w/chevy transmissions
